Depot (AI content manager)
An AI content manager that helps me capture from socials, organize, and connect the things I'd otherwise forget.
Like many, my wife and I keep an ongoing Instagram conversation alive, sharing Instagram Reels with one another each week, about restaurants in our city, new gallery openings, or recipes for weeknight dinners. Yet much of what we shared was trapped there, in a chat too long to scroll through, full of videos we don’t want to rewatch to capture the important details from. This simple problem of wanting organized content (whatever that content may be for) inspired me to create Depot.
Depot is the simplest version of a tool that solves our issues: an iOS share-sheet shortcut that sends Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other content into a hub called Depot. Depot then pulls the caption of the video, transcribes the audio, and picks up any text overlaid on the video. A LLM then classifies, summarizes, and fills out relevant data fields. For places, Depot will search the Google Maps API to find the right link. Depot thus acts as the in-between hub for content to a more accessible and usable final resting place, whether it’s our recipe manager, or Google Maps, or a calendar invite.
